engagement session

It's best to schedule your engagement session 6–8+ months before your wedding, especially if you're wanting to use your phots as Save The Dates. Each season offers a unique backdrop for gorgeous photos – even winter! The session's time of day will depend on the season and location and will be finalized at booking.

When you're ready to schedule your 1-hour session, please email at info@krissymae.co so I can secure your date in my calendar.

There are countless landmarks, buildings, parks, and more around Phoenix that can accommodate your engagement session. I highly recommend picking a spot that's special to you and your fiancé.  Over the years, I've been to dozens of locations with couples. Select 'next' to view my top engagement sessions locations.

My all time favorite place to take photos (beside Sedona)! One thing that I love about this location is that there is never a place where you can have those intimate moments and avoid the crowd while enjoying beautiful views.

White Tanks Mountains

For all my plant lovers this is your time to SHINE!!! I am talking all the flowers, cacti, and plants I probably can't pronounce. This place is a great option if you have a few outfits you want to change into and just let each corner of the location be your background. The options for this location are endless, but be mindful that you have to reserve your time to visit at least a month in advance...

Desert Botanical Gardens

Ok this is for all my lovers who met on the campus or want more of a studious vibe to their engagement session. ASU is constantly upgrading their campus while keeping the history intact. It is such a fun choice if there are memories attached to the school.

Arizona State University Main Campus

If you want that city vibe for your engagement photos then Downtown Phoenix is the place to be. There are so many area that we can go to that can really express who the both of you are as a couple. I always say make a date night out of it because you never know what you will find around each corner plus your close to some really good restaurants and you are already dressed up so why not?!

Downtown Phoenix

Lovers Knoll is a breathtaking landscape of the Sedona desert – the perfect place to fall in love and be in love. It is relatively easy to access by car as well so you don’t need to love a lot of hiking if you don’t want to. I understand not wanting to sweat in your dress haha. If you want to turn your engagement photos into a day activity, why not enjoy the scenic drive of Red Rock Loop. I’m definitely up for the adventure.

Lovers Knoll

Such a well known location for its beautiful hole in the wall and Sedona-like rock color. It is pretty crowded most of the time, but it is well worth the trip if you want those red rocks without the hour long drive.

Papago Park

If you are looking for an engagement photo location in Sedona with amenities, Crescent Moon has some great picnic sites! It’s also pet friendly so if you want to bring your dogs to your engagement photos, I’m all for it! The more the merrier (and after all, they are part of the family too)!

Crescent Moon Ranch

If you want a location with tons of textured rock formations, cacti, and water without the long hike. This is the place for you and the cool thing is, its not super crowded so we wont have to worry about people ruining the photo!!

Picking your outfit color palette and planning your outfits for your engagement session is the first (and most important) step in creating gorgeous photos! While you should consider the weather, it's best to be comfortable and confident in what you wear. I've collected some do's and don'ts for picking out your outfit, along with some outfit inspiration from previous couples.

Pampering yourself is always a great idea, right?! Although not necessary, there are a few to-dos that will elevate your engagement photos:

trust me as your expert photographer

relax, have fun, and just be you

There's absolutely no reason to worry about your session. I like to look at your session as a way to get to know each other and have some fun! As you approach your session, keep in mind these 2 things:

session tips:

04.

You gallery will be online for 12 months after your session. I try to store files indefinitely, but do not guarantee the storage of images once the final gallery is delivered. I have multiple hard drives and multiple backups. I do ask that when you download your gallery, you back up your files on the off chance something happens to mine.

06. How long will you store our images?

My turn around time for engagement session is 7-10 days and I will send those via online gallery.

05. When will we see the photos?

Of course! This session is about the both of you and what ever that looks like then please bring it! Whether its your favorite drink or your new fur baby, all is welcome!

04. Can we bring props or our dog even?

If the weather is bad we can reschedule and if life happens we can do that as well. I only ask that we reschedule once. If it happens more than once, I will have to charge a addtional fee.

03. What if the weather is bad or life happens and we have to reschedule.

I offer 1.5 hour sessions for this very reason. I think that the session should be fun and we should take our time. If you are wanting to travel further we should think about having a longer session to account for travel time.

02. WHAT IF WE WANT TO GO TO TWO DIFFERENT LOCATIONS THAT AREN’T VERY CLOSE TO ONE ANOTHER?

Of course!! I have already given you some locations above, but there is so much more out there. I am will be here to help plan a time and location that feels good to you.

01. Will you help me plan our engagement session?
